Denise and I just wanted to let you know how much we love the new bathrooms and all the added space and closets upstairs. It is an amazing upgrade and difference from the old setup!

The carpenters, Charles and Julius, in particular, did an outstanding job. They were here like clockwork every morning at 7 AM. Their effort and workmanship was truly incredible. They worked non-stop yet were always truly a pleasure to have around. We appreciated that they went out of their way on a few occasions to make sure we were satisfied.

All of your subcontractors did a fine job as well. We could not be more pleased with the final outcome. So please, if you ever need a reference for work in this area, don't hesitate to have somebody check with us.

It was truly a pleasure doing business with Coastal. The process from beginning to the end was amazingly smooth. All of your employees are polite, respectful and professional. We probably could have set our watches by them for their daily promptness, something unheard of by most folks when dealing with a construction project.

As you know, our project consisted of a new kitchen, remodel of 2½ baths, new hardwood floors, moving HVAC lines, moving walls, adding windows, etc. The kitchen was the biggest of these projects. Our sad little kitchen, that was never properly designed for a family of six, was taken from dysfunctional to functional thanks to the engineering background of Richard Campbell and his suggestions, blended with our needs. Things that we were told could not be done, by others that bid on the project, became reality thanks to “Coastal.” During the entire process we had use of our kitchen every night, with the exception of the one night that we didn’t have a sink. You really went out of your way to make the process smooth and with as little disruption to our busy life as possible. Now our large family can enjoy all the benefit of working together in our new, and super improved, kitchen.

By the way, We’ve dealt with many remodeling and construction groups over the years, many of them I wouldn’t invite back into my home. We’ll be having you back again, without hesitation.

Having had numerous projects done by Coastal in the past, I chose to use them again for my swimming pool room addition. We were dealing with working around an existing bathroom extension, and, on the outside, limits imposed by a mature tree and pond and other garden features, so getting the dimensions right for the new room and blending the new roof in with the old and making the addition look like it was always a part of the house were a challenge. I am happy to say that the plan worked out quite well! The room looks out on the center of the yard with a beautiful view of the natural surroundings and enough space was left to move around the pool in the room without feeling cramped or cluttered. They even built a shed to house the motor and a stereo system for music to enjoy while swimming. It feels like one’s own private spa. The tile work was beautifully done and the access panels are well-hidden. It hasn’t cost much to operate – the room is well insulated and Coastal helped me choose the best options. Finally, Leigh Grohe’s beautiful wall treatment and ceiling mural put the crowning touch on a room I use almost every day. The time and effort were well worth it and the exercise is great! Thanks Coastal for your hard work and care and attention – it all turned out wonderfully!

Coastal Builders has done three major remodeling jobs on our home. When a bathroom remodeling job was incorrectly done by another contractor, we called the National Home Builders Association for the name of a reputable company in our area. Coastal Builders was among those on the list they gave us. Coastal did a remarkable job and brought the project to a successful finish. We then engaged them to design and build a new addition to our house. The addition entailed removing the garage, building an extension that included a complete master bedroom suite and adding a new garage. The design was seamless – it looks like it was always part of the original design of the house – and the master bedroom suite is everything we had hoped for. The third job was a complete remodeling of our kitchen with state of the art design, materials and appliances. Our kitchen consistently receives rave reviews. The workmanship is exemplary – these folks are true professionals and master craftsmen. As important is the fact that they stand by their work, are respectful of budgets and timelines and no call goes unanswered.

I want to particularly commend two of your employees – Richard Campbell and Bruce Nelson. If it had not been for Rich, we would not have undertaken our project with Coastal Builders. We solicited several contractors for estimates and by far Richard was much more willing to incorporate our ideas, make changes in the plans and generally work with us to create what we wanted – not what he wanted. Had not Rich been as accommodating and helpful in the planning process, I know we would have used another company.

Once the project was underway, Bruce Nelson, our Lead Carpenter, was nothing short of excellent. One of our fears with this project was getting a high quality of workmanship that would make the addition and remodeling blend with our existing home. I cannot say enough good words about the care that Bruce took in every phase of the project. He did virtually every task from framing to finish carpentry with attention to detail and concern for our desires. He worked with us to implement ideas that on paper looked simple but were more challenging to implement. To Bruce’s credit, he maintained a continually helpful and professional attitude despite our never-ending questions about how various items would come together. While Richard’s attitude and cooperation got us to Coastal Builders, Bruce’s workmanship and desire to do the very best job would bring us back for other projects and lead us to recommend your company to anyone who asks our opinion.

First of all, Richard Campbell was great in the planning and design process. He had wonderful ideas and was extremely flexible in helping us make changes as we went along. When it came time to write and sign the final contract, he was thorough in explaining all that would be done and what costs would be incurred.

Then Bruce Nelson was a truly dedicated and extremely hardworking master builder. He was a perfectionist in the entire building process and made sure all the crews he worked with kept to his high standards. If he wasn’t pleased with anything after it was done, he made sure it was corrected and the building site was always neat and orderly. The various crews did a wonderful job for us especially Greco Brothers, Marino Plumbing, Jerry’s Roofing and Siding, the crew that did the drywall and Five Star Electric. We loved that such care was taken in the brick laying process and Bruce did an absolutely superb job on the bathroom tile work. Throughout the entire building process, we were always included in the decision-making process. Bruce was also great in making any changes we requested during the construction.
