What questions should I ask before starting a kitchen remodel in Maryland?

How long will we be unable to use the sink/fridge?

We make every effort to minimize the the impact of the renovation on your family. It’s typical for the sink to be out of action for around 2 weeks but each project will vary. Based on your home, we may be able to suggest temporarily moving the fridge to another room during your kitchen remodel.

What are common challenges that affect kitchen renovations?

Many homeowners are wanting open concept kitchens. Our engineering team has seen and handled all of the challenges that come with removing walls, and managing structural loads.

Do you share full design drawings prior to approval?

Our design – build process requires us to agree on full design drawings before any construction begins. This means we choose cabinet layouts, appliance sizes, counter tops other elements together to plan your dream kitchen within your budget.

How long do kitchen permits take in my county?

We work in Anne Arundel, Howard, Baltimore and Carroll Counties. During our initial meetings, we can share how long recent kitchen permits have taken for in your county.

Are you licensed and insured?

Coastal Builders and ALL of our subcontractors are licensed and insured.

What warranties do you offer?

Warranties on the materials used will vary based on design choices. We will share all workmanship warranties during our design process so you can have confidence before we start the build process.

Can you help me understand the differences in materials?

Our team has over 30 years of experience and can advise on which materials are a good fit for your design style and the design of your existing home.

How do you keep the kitchen area clean and safe for my kids and pets?

It’s our priority to keep your family safe while working on your home. We use zip curtains, temporary fencing and other precautions that make sense for your project. We also keep the kitchen site as tidy as possible throughout.
